The Headmaster has a very important place in the working of the school. He is solely responsible for the functioning and improvement of the standard of education at the school. He is, therefore, the central figure in the school.
Mr. Gouri Shankar Mohapatra is the Headmaster of our school. He is an elderly person and he is in his early fifties. He is tall, strong and stout. He has a well-built body. He has a very good personality which is quite becoming for the head of an academic institution. He is well-dressed and commands respect from the pupils, teachers and the guardians. He has high academic qualifications. He is an M.A. in English and holds a master's degree in Education. He is quite an experienced teacher and has written some textbooks.
Our Headmaster is very hardworking. He is very dutiful and takes keen interest in his work. He is, so to say, the friend, philosopher and guide of the pupils and teachers at school. He is held in highest esteem by the pupils and the teachers alike. Besides being a very teacher, he is a good administrator. He teaches English in the higher classes. He has made his mark as an outstanding teacher of English in our state. In recognition of his contribution to school education, he has been honoured with the National Award given by the President of India.
He is greatly admired for his techniques of teaching English as a second language. We enjoy his lessons immensely. He teaches us so nicely that we understand everything he teaches. We never feel bored in his class. Because of him we fare better in English at our examinations. He is known as a great English enthusiast.
He has great love for his school and his pupils. We are ever willing to obey him and carry out his orders. There are people who teach to live but he is one who lives to teach.
He goes on his rounds regularly during school hours. He sees that teachers and pupils are doing their work properly. He is very devoted to his work and advises everybody to do their duty. He tries his best to make us good citizens of the future.
Our Headmaster pays due attention to games and sports. He sees that every pupil takes part in some game or sport or the other. Our pupils take part in various games and athletic competitions and win prizes.
